How to confirm that you own a website

If you own a website and want to monetize it using Travelpayouts affiliate tools, you'll be asked to confirm that you actually own the site when signing up with Travelpayouts. Verification is a standard procedure that is safe, quick, and doesn't affect your site's performance.

In this article, we’ll explain why verification is needed and how to do it step by step.

Why verify your website?

Verifying your website confirms that you own it and gives you full access to Travelpayouts features, including:

  • advanced tools such as APIs, Emerald, and LinkSwitcher
  • advanced analytics and statistics for each page of your website
  • access to extra features and help from our team

How to confirm the ownership

To prove that you own the website, you just need to add a small piece of JavaScript code to your site. You only need to do this once — during the registration process. Note that it won’t collect any data, slow down your site, or change how it looks.

If someone else manages your website's technical settings (like a freelancer or a developer), feel free to send them the code and link to this guide — they can handle the technical part for you.

Please note! Each website has its own unique code!

Does it affect your website

No. The code:

  • Does not track your visitors
  • Does not change how your site looks or behaves
  • Loads asynchronously (won’t slow down your page)
  • Works independently without interfering with other scripts installed on your website

It’s purely to check that you own the domain you provided.
