Drive code is installed, but “Check installation” doesn’t detect it

If you added the Drive code to your website, but the Check installation button doesn’t detect it, it usually means that the code is not loading on the website page that Travelpayouts is checking.

This can happen if the code was added to the wrong website, placed incorrectly, blocked by website settings, or not published yet. Here’s what you can do:

1. Check that the code is installed on the correct website

Make sure the Drive code is added to the same website that is connected to the selected Project in your Travelpayouts account.

2. Check that the code is added to the whole website

Drive should be installed on the whole website, not only on one page. If the code is added only to one page, the installation check may not detect it correctly.

3. Check that the code was copied correctly

Make sure that all symbols from the Drive code snipped were copied and pasted in your <head> tag or CMS plugin. Sometimes some symbols may get lost.

4. Check that the code is published

If you added the code through a CMS, website builder, or tag manager, make sure the changes are published.

For example:

  • if you added the code through Google Tag Manager, publish the container;
  • if you added the code through a website builder, publish the website changes;
  • if you added the code through a CMS, save and publish the updated template or settings;
  • if you use WordPress, check that the plugin or code insertion tool is active.

If the changes are saved as a draft, Drive will not be able to detect the code.

5. Clear cache and try again

Caching can delay the moment when the Drive code becomes visible on your website.

After installing the code:

  1. Clear your website cache.
  2. Clear CDN cache, if you use a CDN.
  3. Clear your browser cache or open the website in incognito mode.
  4. Wait a few minutes.
  5. Run Check installation again.

If Drive is installed through WordPress

If you installed Drive through WordPress, check that:

  • the WordPress plugin is installed and activated;
  • the correct Drive code was added;
  • caching or optimization plugins are not removing the code;
  • your theme adds the code to all pages;
  • the website cache was cleared after installation.

What to do if the code still isn’t detected

If Check installation still doesn’t detect the code, contact our support team.

Include the following information in your message:

  • the Project name;
  • the website URL;
  • how you installed the code: manually, through WordPress, Google Tag Manager, or another method;
  • a screenshot of the installation check result, if possible.

This will help us check why Drive can’t detect the code faster.
