What to check if Drive doesn’t work through the WordPress plugin.
If you installed Drive through the WordPress plugin, but Drive doesn’t work or the installation check doesn’t detect it, check that the plugin is installed, activated, and connected to the correct Drive code.
Drive can work through the WordPress plugin only if the plugin adds the correct Drive code to all pages of your website.
Check that the WordPress plugin is installed and activated
- Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
- Go to Plugins.
- Find the plugin that you used to install Drive.
- Make sure the plugin status is Active.
If the plugin is installed but not activated, activate it and check Drive again.
Check that the correct Drive code was added
Drive code is connected to a specific Project in your Travelpayouts account.
Make sure the code added through the WordPress plugin belongs to the Project that matches your website.
If you use the code from another Project:
- Drive may not work correctly;
- the installation check may fail;
- statistics may be connected to the wrong Project;
- Drive settings may not match your website.
Check that the plugin adds Drive to the whole website
Drive should be installed on the whole website, not only on one page.
Make sure the WordPress plugin adds the Drive code to all pages of your website. If the code is added only to one page or only to some templates, Drive may not work correctly.
Clear your WordPress cache
Caching can prevent the updated version of your website from loading right away.
After installing or updating the plugin:
- Clear your WordPress cache.
- Clear cache in any optimization or caching plugins you use.
- Clear CDN cache, if you use a CDN.
- Open your website in incognito mode.
- Run the installation check again.
Check caching and optimization plugins
Some WordPress caching, optimization, or security plugins can remove, delay, or block scripts.
If Drive still doesn’t work, check whether your WordPress plugins are affecting the Drive code.
This can happen with plugins that:
- optimize JavaScript;
- delay script loading;
- combine or minify scripts;
- block third-party scripts;
- change how scripts are added to the website.
Try temporarily disabling these settings and run the installation check again.
Check your WordPress theme
Some WordPress themes may not add plugin scripts to all pages or may change how scripts are loaded.
If Drive doesn’t appear on your website, check whether the Drive code is present on the published pages. You can also ask your developer to check that the theme allows the plugin to add scripts correctly.
