What is Travelpayouts?

Travelpayouts is a partnership platform that helps you earn money by promoting travel services. It brings together affiliate programs from top travel brands and provides tools to monetize your content.

As a Travelpayouts partner, you can earn commission by promoting wide range of travel services:

Key terms

There are some key terms you need to know before starting with Travelpayouts.

  • Partners —  influencers, content creators, bloggers, travel agents and any other users signed up for Travelpayouts. Partners promote brands using various tools and receive rewards in return.
  • Partner ID - a unique ID given to partners after sign-up. Used to track your statistics and bookings.
  • Project - a platform (website, YouTube, Telegram, etc.) where you promote services.
  • Affiliate program —  a brand’s offer that you can connect to in order to earn rewards for promoting their tools, such as links, widgets etc.

How it works — Step by step

  1. Sign up for free
    Create your Travelpayouts account — it takes less than a minute.
  2. Choose the travel brands you want to work with
    Browse affiliate programs and select the ones that fit your audience and content.
  3. Add your Project
    During registration, you’ll be asked to create your first Project (website, app, blog, social media page, etc.) where you are going to promote travel services from brands.
    You can add more platforms later in your dashboard.
  4. Select and place affiliate tools
    Choose from affiliate tools like search forms, links, widgets, or a WordPress plugin, and embed them into your content. These tools help your users search and book flights, hotels, cars, and other travel services.
  5. Users book — you earn
    When users click your tools and make bookings, you receive a commission. The revenue percentage is specified in the About tab of each program.
  6. Get paid monthly
    Earnings are automatically sent to your selected payout method each month.

How is the user assigned to a partner?

  • Your partner ID specified in the link is set in a special cookie file on the user’s computer and is stored there for several days (the cookie lifetime). The cookie lifetime is 30 days for most of the travel brands on our platform. The exact data can be found in the About tab of each program.
  • All purchases made within that period will be credited to you. Even if the user closed the website and reopened it directly from a search engine or bookmark, all purchases will still be credited to the partner.
  • If the user clicks on another partner's link during that time, the last-click rule applies — the most recent partner gets the commission.
    Example:
    User clicks your link on Monday → doesn't buy.
    Clicks another partner's link on Wednesday → books on Friday.
    Second partner receives the commission.

Who can become a Travelpayouts partner?

Anyone with an online presence related to travel (or interest in monetization), such as:

  • Travel bloggers

  • Website or app owners

  • Content creators

  • SEO experts

  • Travel agencies

You don’t need to own a website to get started.

How much can I earn?

Travelpayouts shares up to 70% of the revenue from your referred bookings. Detailed information on how revenue is calculated can be found here. Typical rates are:

  • Flights: 1.1–1.5% of the booking value

  • Hotels: 4–5%

  • Other verticals: vary by program

You can find the affiliate revenue you can make with partner programs in the About tab of each program.

Our rewards match those of direct brand affiliate programs or other affiliate networks in most cases. In fact, sometimes Travelpayouts rewards are even higher. If you spot any difference, it may be due to how they're presented. A direct affiliate program might calculate the rate as a revenue share, while we express the reward as a percentage of the booking value.
