Adding widgets, tables, and links through Travelpayouts WordPress plugin

The article explains how to place a widget, table, search form, or link from affiliate programs presented in Travelpayouts by using a WordPress plugin.

First, you need to sign up for Travelpayouts and install the plugin.

To place a widget, table, or link:

1. Add the Travelpayouts block when editing a page or a post in the WordPress Text Editor.

Note: the icon is only available if you are using the classic block editor and the Gutenberg block editor.

Note! To add a tool using the plugin, you must be signed in to your Travelpayouts account (in the same browser where you work with the plugin). If you are not logged the plugin will inform you about this:

2. After clicking on the Travelpayouts icon a block will be added to your article or page with the possibility to select a tool.

Adding a widget

1. If you have selected Widgets, a modal window will appear where you can choose a program.

2. Choose the desired program.

3. The list of tools available for placement on the site will appear on the modal.

4. To customize the widget and place it in the article, click Settings

Keep in mind that these settings have a higher priority than those specified for tables, widgets, and search forms in the appropriate plugin settings.

Note: an exception is the search form widgets for Aviasales and Hotellook. Learn more in the Adding Aviasales and Hotellook search forms using the plugin article.

5. Customize the widget.

6. When the setup is ready, click the Embed widget button to add the widget shortcode and preview to the page.

Adding a table

1. To add a table click Tables in the window.

2. Select a program for which you want to create a table.

3. The form will be updated and a list of fields to be filled in will appear. Required fields are marked with an asterisk. All others can be left unchanged or customized.

4. To track clicks and bookings made using this tool, you can also add SubID.

5. Click Save to add the table shortcode to the page. After the page is published, the tool will appear on it.

Attention! You can change the city of origin and destination directly in the shortcode. To do this, use the IATA of the city or airport.

Adding a link

1. To add a lunk click Links in the window.

2. Select a program for which you want to create a link.

Note! Adding links is possible only for Aviasales and Hotellok programs. You can learn more in the How to Place Links to Aviasales and Hotellook with the WordPress Plugin article.

3. The form will be updated and a list of fields to be filled in will appear. Required fields are marked with an asterisk. All others can be left unchanged or customized.

4. To track clicks and bookings made using this tool, you can also add SubID.

5. To add the link to the article click Save.

6. The link will appear on the page.

To check how the tools will look after publishing, you can use the Preview functionality of WordPress.

How to change plugin settings

You can change the general settings of the plugin, such as choosing the domain to which readers should go after they click on the tool, the currency in which results will be displayed, the size of the buttons, etc. Read more about this in the General plugin settings article.
