How to connect to a program

To connect to a program, go to the Programs section, select the desired program from the list, and open the page with the description. You can do that by clicking the Details button, or simply by clicking the brand’s card.

Important! To connect to a program, you need to create at least one Project in your Travelpayouts account. A Project contains information about your website, channel, or any other resource where you plan to place affiliate tools from brands. For more details, refer to the Projects article.

There are two ways of connecting to the programs on the Travelpayouts platform:

  • By instantly connecting any of your Projects, as long as their content type and format are allowed in the selected program  
  • After the brand’s approval.

The main difference is how quickly you can connect to the program and get access to its affiliate tools. In the first case, it happens instantly. In the second case, you have to wait till the brand approves your request. 

Note! Only the Projects whose format and type are allowed by the program are suitable for connection in both cases. For other Projects the connection button will not be available, you will see the Not allowed text box.

Programs requiring brand’s approval

If the program you wish to connect to requires the brand’s approval, you will see this disclaimer next to the Connect to program button:

To connect to the program:

1. Read the program’s terms

2. Click the Connect to program button;

3. If you already have at least one Project, you can select it in the pop-up window by clicking the Request to connect button.

If you have not yet created a Project in Travelpayouts, you’ll be asked to do it before connecting to the program. Please note that you cannot connect to the program without a Project. 

4. Carefully review the information in the popup window to make sure that the selected Project meets the requirements of the program.

5. Click the All good button.

6. Your request is successfully sent to the brand.

The approval time for the request to connect to a program depends on the brand. On average, it takes from two business days to two weeks depending on the brand.

After connecting to the program, you can start using the brand’s affiliate tools to monetize your Projects.

Instant connection

Programs that don't require the brand’s approval are marked with a lightning icon. To find such programs in the programs' catalog more easily, switch on the filter Instant program connection.

Now you see programs with instant connection only. The filter will not only show the programs that do not require the brand’s pre-approval as such. In Travelpayouts, you have the ability to instantly connect to programs that require pre-moderation as well. Here is how it works:

  • You connect one or multiple of your Projects to a program that requires the brand’s approval.
  • Once the brand approves your Project(s), you have 30 days to connect them to other programs with similar terms in just one click.

You will see the Instant connection note on the program’s page.

To instantly connect your Project(s), all you need to do is:

1. Read the program terms.

2. Click the Connect to program button.;

3. Select the desired Project from the list and click the Connect button.

Once the Project is connected, you will get access to the brand’s affiliate tools. You will also see a list of other programs with instant connection.
