What is Travelpayouts Pulse?

Travelpayouts Pulse is a tool created for all partners with an Instagram account. It helps quickly generate affiliate links and curated tour collections directly on Instagram. No need to switch tabs, log into your dashboard, or deal with complicated interfaces — everything happens right inside Instagram.

Designed especially for Instagram content creators, Pulse makes monetizing content faster, simpler, and mobile-friendly. 

The tool is currently in beta, and we're actively improving it — your feedback is always welcome!

What can you do with Pulse

  • Get a ready-to-post tour bundle for the most popular and trending travel destinations
Important
You need to be connected to the brand’s program in your Travelpayouts account to generate and get links.

How it works

Step 1: Launch Pulse

To start working with Pulse, send a direct message to the Travelpayouts Instagram account with the following text: pulse.

Step 2: Quick setup

To get started, you'll only need to enter your API token — no other setup is required. 

You can find your API token in your Travelpayouts profile:

Step 3: Generate affiliate links or a tour offer bundle

Now you can choose to generate either affiliate links or offer bundles. 

Links

With the links, you have the following options:

  1. Option A: You already have a brand link
    • Select Create a link and next click Make my link
    • Send the bot a regular link to the travel brand’s website. 
      Note: the link format should be http://domain.com/. You need to keep http:// for the link to convert properly.
    • The bot converts it into an affiliate link using the Travelpayouts API
    • If there’s an error (e.g., you’re not subscribed to the brand), the bot will tell you how to fix it
  2. Option B: You don’t have a link yet
    • Select Create a link and next click Create a new link
    • Choose a brand from the list
    • The bot will generate an affiliate link to the brand’s homepage
    • Same logic: if there’s an error, the bot will guide you

Bundles

The bot can also create a curated set of tours for any city. Here is what it can look like:

To create a bundle, select the Create offer bundle option and provide:

  • City name
  • Preferred currency
  • Preferred language (English or Spanish)

The bot fetches:

  • A selection of top tours via WeGoTrip’s API
  • Title, description, price
  • Your affiliate link for sharing

You receive all of this directly in the chat, ready to copy and use.

How to use generated links in Instagram

Once you’ve generated your affiliate links using Travelpayouts Pulse, here’s how you can use them effectively on Instagram to drive clicks and earn rewards:

  1. Add links to your bio
    Instagram only allows one clickable link in your bio — make it count! Use your affiliate link or a link-in-bio tool (like Linktree, Beacons, or Later) to feature multiple offers in one place.

    You can let your followers know that they can follow the link in your bio to find the best offers and experiences.
  2. Share links in Stories
    If you have a business or creator account, you can add clickable links (stickers) to your Stories. To do this:
    • Create a Story with a travel photo, hotel review, or something else
    • Tap the sticker icon, choose the Link sticker
    • Paste your affiliate link
    • Add a short call-to-action like “Explore tours in Rome” or “Book your transfer now”

      Stories are great for time-sensitive offers and visual content. Don’t forget to save them to Highlights for long-term visibility!
  3. Use links in DMs
    Answer travel-related questions from followers with a useful affiliate link.
    Example: Looking for tours in Paris? Here’s a great selection I recommend.[your affiliate links]

Instagram doesn’t support clickable links in post captions or comments — but you can still direct people to your bio or DMs, where they will be able to click on your links.

How exactly will I earn?

Each affiliate link you generate contains your unique Travelpayouts partner ID. When someone clicks your link and completes a booking or purchase on the travel brand's website, you earn rewards. You can learn more about how it works here. 

All rewards are accumulated on the balance of your Travelpayouts account and will be automatically paid out once a month. Read more in the When shall I expect my payout article.

What brands are supported in Travelpayouts Pulse?

Pulse supports brands that are present in the Travelpayouts program catalogue and support Instagram as a traffic source. 

Can I copy any link and send it to Pulse?

Yes, you can copy any link directly from the brand’s website, but note that the link format should be http://domain.com/. You need to keep http:// for the link to convert properly.

What languages are supported in Travelpayouts Pulse?

  • If you are creating links: don’t worry about the language; Pulse will generate an affiliate link for any language version of a travel brand’s website.
  • If you are creating offer bundles: currently, Pulse can create tour offer bundles in English or Spanish.

Do I need to create a Project with my Instagram account on the Travelpayouts platform?

If you haven’t yet created a Project that is linked to your Instagram account, don’t worry, Pulse will automatically do it for you as soon as you provide your API token at the first step.

You can later find this Project in your profile.

I want to create more links, but Pulse is not replying. How to reactivate it?

Try sending the word pulse in the chat again to get Pulse to be active again.

Is it safe to share my API token with the bot?

Yes, it's safe. The bot uses your API token only to generate affiliate links and check your connected projects — nothing else.

You’ll get a direct link inside the bot to copy your token from your Travelpayouts account. The token is never stored or shared externally — it’s used securely within the system and never leaves our infrastructure.
